The Shadowmasters Part Two - Redemption

What they are saying about The Shadowmasters...

Extremely brutal descriptions are abundant in this chiller. Reminiscent of early Shaun Hutson this is a must-read for all horror fans who enjoy bloody, action-packed tales and superb lead characters, I have read a lot ( and I mean a lot ) of horror books in my time but I have to say some of Lancett's descriptions made me look away from reading as they were almost shockingly gross! Great excitement and well constructed; I can't wait for the next installment 'Redemption' - Ellie Wixon, OUTLAND

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a Winner! And the award for the most morally depraved, bile-inducing, all around repulsive story of the year is - ShadowMasters! Mr. Lancett, Pete if you will, there are some things that should never – under any circumstances – be done to a dog, bull or child. What you have done could inadvertently, drive a reader completely insane, leaving them vomiting and writhing on the floor, crying to a higher power for a reprieve. You’re The Man!!!

Deciding that the world has never seen horror to this degree, Lancett has taken it upon himself to re-introduce an almost extinct form, the philosophically ferocious. After reading it, I dare anyone to dispute him. Tying mystical lineage with political agendas, the plot is original, enlightened and brutally authentic. Having read literally thousands of horror books, I can honestly say this tale is by far one of the most thought provoking and downright hellish ever.

The pace in the book is fluid and ever moving. From the first page to the last, Lancett grips you into his embrace and forces you to look at the all the atrocities he revels in showing you. The atmosphere is nostalgic and grotesque. Transporting you to scenes in history most in the world would like to forget, the feeling is one of constant domination. The air is laced with oppression and through it all you carry with you the stench of rapacity.

Lancett’s style of writing comes off as cocky and abrasive, but you soon find out he's worthy of this indulgence. He writes to intimidate and to paralyze you with torment, a skill I found haunting. The characters are deep, etched with caress and impregnated with all the flaws and admiration that is both desirable and repugnant. Lancett shows you all the horrors to be found in man and just how little it takes for evil to consume a soul.

My rating? Without a doubt, this book is a 5! Lancett is either a mad genius or the most sadistic creature to emerge in decades! Buy it Immediately! - Bloody Mary, Horror-Web.Com
