Diary of Madness As It happens...
Well let’s start this
with by saying how this page will work. First and foremost, it will be a straightforward
log of how my current work is progressing. For example, The Power x3 is intended
to be a novel of about one hundred thousand words – maybe running to one
hundred and ten thousand. Currently, around 20,000 words have been written and
when I write, I generally put down a minimum of 1000 words per day. Sometimes
I write more, but never less.
The Dark Man is a series of illustrated stories. They use a very limited vocabulary
as they have been commissioned with a specific purpose in mind – to be
the basis of a program of youth and adult literacy education, using synthetic
phonics (or so I'm led to believe!).

Chapter 11 of The Power x3 now completed, and halfway through chapter 12. Phew, chapter 11 was harrowing. Some dreadful and shocking scenes in that one. Just getting to the violent part of chapter 12. Might come back to it later today if I get the chance. Otherwise, it will have to be tomorrow. Enjoying this part of the story immensely...

In London all week and not able to create a daily update, but here's what has happened in the previous five days...
Wrote and delivered the last of The Dark Man series. Had to re-write one of the stories as it was deemed too static for illustration. Must say, on re-reading it, I had to agree. Anyway, that story is re-written, delivered and approved now. Apparently, the first six books are going to be at the printers at the end of June. Here's a sample of illustrations created to accompany this series...
